About

Glutton on a Budget - Perhaps another Philippine food blog
One meal after another. A snack in-between. A trip here and there

Call me Z. It's simple and easy to remember -- and it's me, all five feet and two inches of me. I have straight black hair, dark brown eyes, brown skin and a round nose. I used to be skinny, gained a lot these past couple of years, but now I kind of leveled off.

I work as a senior copy editor for a multimedia B2B publication while trying to get my master's degree on the side. I dream of hosting and producing my own food and travel show, running an international development campaign and operating my own café or diner. Har har. For my own satisfaction, I try to write creatively during my free time. I also take photos, both digital and analog, and am part of a photography/lomography group called Lomomanila. Apparently, I blog, too.

I love dreaming in my sleep, coffee, sweets, chocolate, hugging a pillow, empty malls, photos, cold weather, lighting up, evenings, dawn, hibernating, family, writing wantonly, breakfast, pretty shoes, wasabi, spice and a lot more.

I am a glutton. While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, I really am on a budget.

I am so passionate about food in terms of eating and experiencing it. Lately, I've started cooking as well.

I maintain other blogs, too, and wish to start a couple more. But Glutton or GOAB, as I fondly call this blog, has been around for a while, and I'm happy I still get to post every now and then.

Now let me introduce you to C, the man behind the camera. He's responsible for many photos on Glutton, and it's high time that you meet him.

He is a 3D animation artist specializing in lighting and rendering. He also does modeling, textures, compositing, layouts, graphic and web design, etc. He is a Lomomanila member as well and creates magic with his several rangefinders, and toy, instant and vintage cameras.

It's nearly impossible to take decent pictures of yourself eating, and it's no easy feat to snap other people's food too. In such instances, he saves the day, together with moments when I simply can't get the perfect angle. I leave it to him to click away.

The results? Yummy and tempting photos of equally delectable food that would entice you to grab the nearest edible material around you. Let's just hope it's as delicious.

Glutton on a Budget may be another food blog from the Philippines to get restaurant reviews, food reviews, product featuresmarket tips, cooking tipseasy recipes, links to interesting sites, press releases and feature articles. But this is not just about food. This is also about me and my everyday experiences.

I believe you can know a lot about a person through her stomach. So, here I am, the glutton on a budget.

Love,
Z
