Seattle's Best Coffee + World Vision holiday drinks

Drink Seattle's Best Coffee this Christmas season and sponsor a child through World Vision.

Seattle's Best Coffee teamed up with World Vision and launched four new flavors for the holidays. Part of the proceeds from SBC's Chocolate Cherry, Coffee Creampie, Cookies & Mint and Coffee Hazelnut will help sponsor a child's education through World Vision.

I dropped by the launch at Greenbelt 3 Park on my way home. It was organized by Monsters Centaur Production, the same people who invited me. I arrived late but the program hasn't started yet due to the weather. To while away the time, I took pictures and helped myself with the complimentary Seattle's Best Coffee beverages and finger foods. I didn't know SBC's chocolate chip cookie is quite good. It is soft-baked and not too sweet.

I was able to take a quick sip of Coffee Hazelnut for the toast at the end of the program. It tasted like the kind of comfort beverage one would enjoy drinking during the Christmas break. (Is there such a thing this year?) It's a bit on the sweet side, though, but I can't tell how that would influence the drinking experience when you buy a whole cup.

A video introducing Seattle's Best Coffee's holiday drinks opened the night. After which, hosts Victor Basa and Divine Lee called to the stage World Vision celebrity ambassadors Crystal Belo, Tintin Bersola, Marc Nelson and Miriam Quiambao. Each shared their sponsorship stories and enlightened the audience about World Vision. Only P600 per month can send a child to school, and I still can't believe Marc Nelson sponsors 11 children! Kudos also to Divine Lee for keeping things light and fun.

As Crystal Belo pointed out, however, one can also help send a child to school through Seattle's Best Coffee and World Vision's partnership by merely buying any of Seattle's Best Coffee's holiday coffee blends.

You also get a sticker for your Dream Card every time you purchase any of the four flavors from October 22, 2010 to January 22, 2012. Only 18 stickers are needed to get your own Seattle's Best Coffee leather journal, which of course comes with coupons, freebies and 24 hours of free WiFi at any Seattle's Best Coffee branch.

As far as sticker collecting goes, 18 is a relatively low number, right? I think the 24 hours of free WiFi alone makes this worth it, although I'm still a strong advocate of free and unlimited WiFi usage at establishments, especially coffee shops, as long as you're a paying customer. Yes, no minimum purchases. I can dream.
